Flight over the Kachemak
Limited Edition of 950 | Artist Proof 95
Cool winter skies indicate an early spring rainshower as a lone bald eagle wings over the open water of Kachemak Bay. To the south, hundreds of bald eagles gather at the mouth of the Chilkat River, where they feed on abundant salmon spent from the annual spawn. While bald eagles are more often than not envisioned as solitary birds, they are also highly gregarious birds who let their territorial nature slide when copious amounts of food are available.
