FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY

Limited Edition Collection
From thousands of images captured, Mangelsen edits and selects only the finest to be released into his Limited Edition Collection. Each print has Mangelsen’s signature and a unique edition number on the front. Additionally, each image comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.  Once the numbered editions have sold, that limited edition will no longer be available for purchase.

Artist Proof Collection
Mangelsen offers 10% of every limited edition image as an Artist Proof. A select number of these prints are sold to collectors on a limited basis. The remaining prints are for the artist’s personal use and may be displayed in museums, gallery showings or conservation events. Available in select sizes and formats, these prints are sold at a higher premium due to their exclusive numbers. Each print has Mangelsen’s signature and a unique edition number on the front. Each image comes with a signature card and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Legacy Reserve Collection
Upon creating his very first limited edition photograph, Mangelsen decided to hold back his most cherished prints, numbered 1 through 20, so that one day as a career capstone they would be offered as part of a Legacy Reserve Collection. These masterworks are among the most iconic of his career. Collectors now have the unique opportunity to acquire one of the twenty numbers from Mangelsen’s personal reserve, gaining membership into a rarefied club of fine art collectors.

Open Edition Collection
Mangelsen carefully selects images of breathtaking landscapes, colorful abstracts and more to be enjoyed in this collection. Open edition prints are available as Framed Prints, Wrapped Canvas and Desktops. Open edition framed prints do not include glass or acrylic but are sealed with a Luster Laminate protective coating. Prints from the Open Edition Collection have a lower price point because unlike limited edition images they are not restricted to a specific number of prints.

Edition Numbers
The Limited Edition, Artist Proof and Legacy Reserve Collections are released with a limited number of editions per collection. After all edition numbers of each collection are sold, that image will never again be printed as a fine art photograph, making your image a truly unique work of art.

OPTIONS

Prints
Fuji fine art prints feature the most vivid color reproduction, brilliant whites and distinct highlight details. These papers deliver beautiful prints, with excellent image stability, consistency and performance. Fuji fine art prints offer the best archival qualities of any photographic material available. This supreme durability makes these prints a primary choice of museums throughout the world. Fuji prints continue to be the finest professional quality fine art prints available in the industry today in terms of color, print permanence and surface.

Framed Prints
This display option continues to be the most popular among Mangelsen collectors. Quality framing with the latest designer styles and colors will make your fine art photograph a favorite focal point in any room of your home or office. NatureView A/R® Glass virtually eliminates reflection and ensures a lifetime of viewing enjoyment.

Museum Mounted Prints
Our Museum Mount technique is a way to display and present artwork for a contemporary look. This is a specialized lamination process providing a smoothness that cannot be achieved with traditional mounting techniques.
The image is permanently adhered to a rigid sheet of clear acrylic that makes handling a large print much easier and significantly eliminates the possibility of damage, while also providing a new “wet” look that only this process can provide. Using the Museum Mount technique also offers deeper colors and a more three- dimensional feel to the image. UV protection is included in the adhesive and the acrylic has UV absorption properties as well.

Canvas Prints
In this printing method, the canvas is carried by a spinning roller while infinitely small pixels of rich, vibrant inks are sprayed on it at a very high speed rendering an amazingly smooth and consistent image true to the original. The latest inks offer up to 70 years lightfastness and UV resistance under museum archival conditions, yet for even better performance, we coat all our canvas prints with a layer of anti-fading UV protective clear satin glaze.

Framed Canvas
The 100% acid free artist canvas is framed with a fabric covered liner and quality framing in the latest designs. This display option creates a stunning look with brilliant colors and is sure to enhance any space in your home or office. Canvas prints are not framed with glass.

Canvas Wrapped
The 100% acid free artist canvas is wrapped over a sturdy, internal wood frame and finished with black-out edges, giving the fine art photograph depth and dimension. This option features simple, clean lines with a modern look and feel.

Metal Prints
Sublimation of a print onto metal is a cutting edge, modern way to reproduce a fine art photograph. While under extreme heat and pressure, the inks of the print are turned into gas and are pressed into the surface of the metal. This display creates a clean, contemporary look. The aluminum substrate is strong and durable, ensuring years of enjoyment in your home; plus they are ideal for any public or high traffic display areas.

Liners and Framing
Our fine art photographic prints are framed with the highest quality materials available. We use fabric covered wood liners and quality wood frames.

NatureView A/R® Glass
Thomas D. Mangelsen’s fine art photography captures the vibrant colors and subtle hues found in our natural world. We strive to present your Mangelsen as clearly as possible. We use NatureView A/R® Glass manufactured by Tru Vue to keep reflection from posing a problem in viewing your Mangelsen art. NatureView A/R® Glass appears invisible and helps reduce reflected light.
