2760 Summer Rains - Yellowstone Elk
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
A late afternoon cloud burst, typical of Rocky Mountain summers, drenches a small herd of mostly cow elk who find strength in numbers. Early summer is the season of abundance, where the long winter wait gives birth to new life in Yellowstone National Park. Grazing, but watchful, these females keep an eye out for predators. All it takes is one twitch of the ear or rustle in the distance to alert the herd to potential danger, sounding the alarm for all to flee. Edition of 1200.
