2556 Cool Hand Luke
Wapusk National Park, Manitoba, Canada
A lone wanderer of the Far North, "Cool Hand Luke" is also Tom Mangelsen's favorite polar bear. He is recognizable by a teardrop scar on the outside corner of his left eye. Nearly all mature polar bears of this size are considerably scarred due to battles over a mate. Luke, on the other hand, shows just this one, a fact that could be attributed to his awe-inspiring demeanor. Edition of 950.
