2747 Life's a Bear - Brown Bear
Alaska Peninsula
Stretching out after a meal of sockeye salmon, a brown bear takes full advantage of sun-warmed driftwood, where he lazes away the afternoon. Many mammals concentrate their food finding abilities to mornings and evenings, but during the spawning season, brown bears devote most of the day, in between naps, to catching salmon that run thick in the rivers off the Alaska Peninsula. Edition of 1500.
