Dawn's First Blush
Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Limited Edition of 950 | Artist Proof 95
The rose-hued blush of the rising sun paints the snowy peaks of the Tetons, stretching 40 miles and towering nearly 7,000 feet above the valley floor. The Teton Range is one of the most recognizable mountain ranges in North America. With near-record snowfall in the winter of 2011 and the coldest May on record, the Tetons remained covered with as much as 10 feet of snow in late June. As temperatures warmed, excessive mountain snowmelt flowed into the Snake River, making the unusually high waters visible from this vantage point for the first time in memory-adding to the early morning drama of the landscape.
