Gift of the Rains
Iguazu Falls, Argentina
Limited Edition of 2500 | Artist Proof 250
Perched along the crescent rim of a cliff that stretches 2 1/2 miles long, caramel ribbons of the Iguazu River drop 250 feet, creating one of the world's largest waterfalls. South of the equator the rainy season occurs during the months of December through February, a time when the sights and sounds of Iguazu are nothing short of spectacular. During the chillier days of the year, the heavy moisture creates a microclimate of dense fog that billows over the rain forest, appearing more like smoke from a fire than the life force that feeds this ecosystem. In 1984 this natural wonder was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
