This film is a collaboration with Lucky 8. It is a unique combination of my extensive archive of photographs, videos, Todd Wilkinson’s writings and interviews featuring numerous people including myself who share a deep affection for Grizzly 399.

A LIFE IN THE WILD is an exhibition containing 40 fine art photographs in Mangelsen’s Legacy Reserve Collection. These are his most resonant images—images that take viewers on a journey into the haunts of iconic species whose struggles for survival are metaphorical fulcrums for reflection in the 21st century.
