The brilliantly colored male wood duck is one of the most striking waterfowl in North America. Wood ducks nest in hollow trees, often high above the ground, and adapt easily to man-made nesting boxes placed in farm ponds or along streams.
This limited edition bronze sculpture is based on the fine art photograph Spring Suitor - Wood Ducks (Item #3057) from Mangelsen's Collector Edition. Using 3D technology, the subject is brought to life and then hand-sculpted by our bronze artisans. The bronze sculptures are created using the centuries old lost-wax casting method. Using this complex and lengthy process ensures the finished piece looks exactly as the artist intends, with all the details in their final form. Unique patinas are carefully applied and each piece is then hand finished.*
Each bronze sculpture is numbered and etched with Mangelsen's signature.
Dimensions: 12 1/2” W x 5” H x 4 1/2” D
*Allow a minimum 12-15 weeks to cast and finish your bronze sculpture.
